Caring for a homeless "little tail"

Today, all of us are fighting for the future of Ukraine, and it is worth fighting to secure a place for kindness and light in this future. And it cannot be this way without a humane and caring attitude toward animals. If each of us takes care of a homeless fluffy creature nearby, the world would already become a better place!

Start

Start

Vision and mood

They feel hunger and cold, loneliness, fear and pain, a lot of pain — just as we do. There are so many of them betrayed, hungry, and scared on our streets! But our attention and help can save the lives of homeless animals!

Step

Step 1. Fluffy hostages of war

Treating a stray animal found on the streets from ticks and parasites, vaccinating it against infectious diseases, neutering or spaying it if necessary — Chernihiv animal volunteer Maryna Postol does it every day. She also rescues injured animals, brings them food, and searches for new homes to place them in.

“There are so many animals around that need shelter and care,” Maryna says. “And with the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, their numbers almost doubled. In addition, during the brutal shelling of Chernihiv, Ukraine, which lasted almost a month, many pets lost their owners, and suffered injuries and wounds. Further, many were once household pets needing treatment after being forced to fend for themselves on the streets.”

Step

Step 2. Kindness that heals

Stray cats and dogs became even more ill-fated, suffering immensely, and we would like them to live in peace and comfort in the future.
— Maryna Postol,
an animal rights volunteer

“Our task is to help animals live longer, happier, healthier lives,” the woman says. “The wellness of those animals depends only on you and me. So let’s help them stay healthy while waiting for their future owners!”.

“Feeding homeless animals is great, but treating, vaccinating, and neutering them is even better! No, this is not an easy task. After all, you must take on the responsibility and dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to this work. Not everyone has the strength and time to do it. You need to have time and energy, and a love for animals. And you must also consider the requirements of food, medication, neutering or spaying, along with many other case-by-case issues each day.

I want to thank the volunteers of Goodacity for the animal medications they purchased and provided. These are precisely the drugs that every fluffy one needs to be protected from serious diseases and the consequences of living on the streets for a long time. If kindness heals the soul, then the help of the Goodacity volunteers is literally and figuratively kindness that heals!”

Time to sum it up

In times of great trials, no help is too little! Every life is meaningful; that is why animal volunteers and caring Ukrainians unite and go on saving our fluffy friends while strengthening humanity through this endeavor. People’s four-legged friends deserve human help! Humanness must awaken in every heart, and victory will arrive more quickly!
