A child with disabilities experiencing a world of kindness and humanity!

They say that only those who look with the heart see well… 11-year-old Anton cannot clearly see the colors of the world, but he knows well that this world can be kind and humane. And all of this is thanks to kind and caring people!

I wanted to give him attention, a smile, and the miracle of making dreams come true! “When he was a child, he had a lot of difficult childhood experiences,” the woman says. “When his mother died when he was five, he was left without parental love and care.

When you see the world with your heart

“I live in the town of Korets, I am friends with a family that raised their own three children and took the boy named Anton under their care a few years ago,” a benefactor, Iryna, addressed us. “I had an idea to make a gift for a talented boy with a visual impairment who had lost his parents, but was lucky to meet kind people. I wanted to make him smile, give him some attention and do the miracle of making dreams come true!”

“He faced many difficult trials during his childhood,” the woman says. “When he was five, his mother died and the boy was left without parental love and care. Antonchyk was going to be sent to an orphanage, but fortunately, a family of empathetic and caring people took the boy under their care. Those people had raised three children of their own and decided to give their love and care to him as well… Anton needs special care because he is a child with disabilities, he was diagnosed with severe visual impairment at an early age. You know, people say that seeing eyes can be blind if the heart is deaf. His heart is so open, poor eyesight is not an obstacle for him. The boy does not see his mother’s happy smile, but he feels her endless love with all of his heart.”

“They have been a family for six years now. Anton is incredibly happy! He is so glad to receive gifts, every time he doesn’t completely believe it. “Is it all for me, really?” There were three kids in the family, and they lived rather modestly. The two sisters are already grown up. They are married and live far from home.

For a child who sees this world primarily with his heart and through his touch, the most important thing for them is to feel our palm, to understand that they are not alone, and that there is someone caring close who will help.”

“Anton also has a dream, which he has recently shared with me. Despite health problems, the boy has a talent for athletics and participates in sports competitions of various levels. He studies at a special school in Klevan, where his desire to play sports is supported and developed.”

“Anton admits that at first he was afraid to participate in competitions and worried about his poor eyesight, but now he has collected a lot of honors and medals in his award treasury. For him, sports are an inspiration and a form of escapism.”

Following the dream in spite of everything!

“The young athlete dreamed of high-quality sports clothes and shoes,” Ms. Iryna says. “So I really wanted to make a miracle for him by making this little dream come true.

I am truly grateful to Goodacity for helping me with this, because I have two small children myself and could not afford to buy such a gift. After winning the microgrant, I immediately went to the store to fulfill Anton’s dream!”

“I wanted to please him so much and hurried to them with a gift. I wish you could see his smile, it had so many wonderful emotions in it! And how much joy it gave my soul! I was moved to tears by his sincere and reverent, childish hugs. I came back home overwhelmed with feelings because I was able to give him the happiness and wonder he deserved. I was just happy to be able to light a fire in his eyes, to see his sincere joy and do something for him to make him believe in a fairy tale.

For a moment, it seemed to me that I was Santa Claus who brings happiness to children! These feelings are impossible to put in words!”

“Volunteering is natural for me,” Ms. Iryna says. “I am one of the members of the newly created Space for Women’s Opportunities AktyvnaYa non-profit public organization. We are engaged in volunteering, helping the military, and we send aid to the deoccupied territories.

It occurred to me that volunteers are also people who know how to see with their heart. It is necessary to feel a person and their problems deeply and come to help in time. I’m grateful to everyone who knows how to see with their heart for your sincerity, empathy, and support!”
